OSI Overcomes Unique Challenges of the Textile Industry

Hill is an important wholesaler of a distinctive line that includes quilts,
sheeting, rugs, blankets, table linens, and other decorative bedding. Pine Cone
Hill products are sold in many major home catalogs and more than 2500 high-end
specialty stores across the country. The company operates from its
headquarters in Berkshire Hills of New England.
Pine Cone Hill needed a program that could track
their shipments, sales orders, control inventory and management their major
trading partners like Eddie Bower, Neiman Marcus and L.L. Bean. In addition, they also wanted an integrated
accounting program with job costing features.
After an exhaustive search, they choose the ResQ Enterprise System from
Open Solutions Inc. Their business has
some unique requirements due to an extensive number of product categories, and
their offshore manufacturing model. OSI was able to identify these specific
requirements and make some key enhancements on their package to address the specific
requirements for this customer. After
an extensive testing that lasted about 6 months, Pine Cone Hill converted to
using ResQ Enterprise and is now in the process of converting two more of their
companies over to the system.
